All roles are volunteer positions, however honoraria will be allocated at the end of the semester.
TV-News Producers are responsible for driving the creation of TV-News video content, working closely with the Head of TV and News Editor. This will include: generating ideas and writing scripts, storyboarding, organising filming logistics and reporting skills as well as providing input on overall filming/editing. This role may also include interviewing and presenting duties if desired. Producers must be highly organised and ready to learn about editing, graphics, script writing and reporting techniques.
There is also a general expectation of flexibility in the role, alongside a basic-intermediate level of competency in all areas of production, including camera operation and editing.
TV-News Production Assistants are responsible for assisting the production of video content, working closely with the Head of TV and the News Editor. This role includes responsibilities such as: reviewing footage and taking into account initial storyboarding and additional notes from TV Producers, editing videos in conjunction with the team, filming content, uploading footage, and general upkeep of equipment.
