The ANU has announced changes to restrictions that will come into effect from Friday 15 October.
The changes include no restriction on leaving the residence aside from those imposed by ACT Health, larger living bubbles that will vary between Halls, and increased capacity in common rooms. Further, residents will return to “pre-lockdown measures for the management of contacts”. According to the new guidelines, “close contacts and higher risk casual contacts will still need to be quarantined in an apartment … “, however “secondary contacts will no longer need to quarantine”.
Some restrictions, however, remain in place. Masks will continue as mandatory when outside rooms, and residents are only permitted 1 designated guest.
Each Hall is expected to have a slightly different set of restrictions, and students are advised to contact their Head of Hall should they have any questions or concerns about the new living arrangements.
